Microbicides for Chemical Industry

BRM 10 - A 10% active solvent based solution of 2-Bromo-4'-hydroacetophenone. This product can be used in cooling water systems and petroleum secondary recovery systems. Slow hydrolysis at elevated pH make it a good choice for alkaline cooling water systems.

CDQ - An effective bactericide especially for use in oil field waterflood systems. This product is especially effective against Sulfate Reducing Bacteria (SRB). Can be used in cooling water systems but may cause foaming. Active ingredient is Oxydiethylenebis(alkyl dimethyl ammonium chloride) 36%.

DIMET - A dithiocarbamate, DIMET can be used to control bacterial growth in cooling water, air washers, and petroleum waterfloods. The active ingredient is Potassium dimethyldithiocarbamate 50%. Dilutions of this product can be subregistered. A very effective product for controlling SRB.

MECT - A combination of 10% Methylene bis(thiocyanate) and 10% 2-(Thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole. This microbicide is an extremely effective broad spectrum microbicide for controlling bacteria, fungi, and algae. It can be used in cooling water systems, fuel oils, petroleum secondary recovery, and other industrial systems. This synergistic combination is the choice for fouled systems.

MECT-WB - Same active ingredients and performance as MECT in a water-based product. MECT-WB may be used in cooling water and other approved industrial applications where the use of solvent based material is not desired.

MECT-5 - The same synergistic combination found in MECT but with a lower activity (2.5% MTC and 2.5% TCMTB).

NABE-M - A duel active, broad spectrum microbicide that can be subregistered for use in cooling water systems. The active components of NABE-m are: Disodium cyanodithioimidiocarbonate 14.7% and Potassium N-methyldithiocarbamate 20.3%.

MTC 10 - A 10% active methylene bis(thiocyanate) in a solvent base for controlling microorganisms in cooling water, pasteurizers, and other industrial applications. A highly effective quick kill bactericide.

MTC-10WB - A water-based 10% Methylene bis(thiocyanate).

SOBR 2 - A 40% sodium bromide solution for use in the bromination of recirculating and once-through cooling water systems. Bromination programs utilizing SOBR 2 typically cost the end user 3 - 4 times less than solid bromine donor programs such as BCDMH.

TCMTB 1030 - 30% 2-(Thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole in a solvent base. TCMTB is a powerful fungicide which can be used in cooling water systems, petroleum secondary recovery, and fuel oil storage. Can be applied by professional applicators directly to cooling tower lumber to prevent fungal decay.

TCMTB 5 - A 5% active TCMTB product.

WSCP - A 60% active ionene microbicide with the active component: Poly[oxyethylene(dimethyliminio)ethylene(dimethyliminio)ethylene dichloride]. This broad spectrum product is the cornerstone of many cooling water treatment formulators product lines. Synergistic with oxidizing microbicides and non-foaming, WSCP offers significant advantages over other quats. Dilutions of WSCP can be subregistered for cooling water, air washers, decorative fountains, and other uses.
