Sludge treatment is an area of particular expertise much in demand as the December 1998 deadline for sea dumping of sludge approaches. In Scotland we are installing the first sewage sludge dryer at Inverurie that will produce sludge pellets for agricultural use. In the south of England we have just commenced design work on a major multi-million pound digestion and drying scheme handling 13,000 tons dry solids per year of sewage sludge.
